Location. The Sofokles Hotel is housed in a three storey property with red roof tiles set in a wooded bay overlooking the sea in the village of Agios Ioannis, 30 kilometres from Volos. Volos Airport is 57 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of one hour.
Hotel Features. The Sofokles Hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool complete with sunbeds and parasols overlooking the sea. An American buffet breakfast is served each morning on the patio and the hotel also houses its own lounge bar. During winter, visitors can relax by the stone fireplace in the lobby.

Guestrooms. The 178 guestrooms over three floors are decorated in traditional Greek colours of white and blue and feature simple wooden furnishings. All are equipped with climate control, televisions and bathrooms with showers.

Expert Tip. The pretty village of Tsagarada offers spectacular views, old churches and cobbled mule tracks, along with a plane tree with a trunk 14 metres in diameter, which is reputedly 1,000 years old. Mouresi, the Village of Flowers, is five kilometres away and the Volos Archaeological Museum is 30 kilometres from the hotel.
