Description:
Location. The Agionissi Resort Hotel is located on the island of Amoliani, Greece, 50 metres from a sandy beach, 1.5 kilometres from the island's fishing port, and five kilometres from Mount Athos.
Hotel Features. The Agionissi Resort Hotel is a modern beachfront complex featuring a saltwater pool surrounded by sunloungers and parasols, with a poolside bar. Kids can play in the separate children's pool. There is also a health club and spa which offers beauty treatments using organic products.

The hotel offers two dining options. Agionissi Tavern serves fresh fish and the honey, olive oil and white wine that feature in the menu are produced on site. The Agionissi Restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner. There is also a poolside bar which serves cocktails and features regular evening entertainment. The half board rate includes buffet breakfast and dinner.

The hotel's beach offers facilities for boating, fishing, and snorkelling. The unspoilt onissi landscape of the island can be explored on horseback, mountain bikes or scooters. The hotel also has a tennis court and a children's playground on site.et breakfast

Guestrooms. The 70 air conditioned es guestrooms of the Agionissi Resort Hotel are decorated in pale tones with red, traditionally patterned Greek fabrics and dark wood furniture. Rooms have balconies overlooking the island and Mount Athos. Amenities include satellite television, direct dial phones, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include designer toiletries.

Expert Tip. The central temple in Stagira is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is considered of great historical importance, as it was built in 1814 with the help of the Hilandari Monastery on the slopes of Mount Athos.

Distance to Agionissi Resort is 100 kilometres, approximately 90 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The number 78 bus departs from the airport every hour, and runs to Thessaloniki's main train station. Single tickets cost less than 1 EUR. Alternatively, a taxi to the city centre costs approximately 10 EUR. From Thessaloniki, there is a daily bus service to Tripiti, from where a ferry runs every 30 minutes to Amoliani. Alternatively, the hotel can arrange a taxi direct costing around 100 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Thessaloniki city centre is best explored on foot and the surrounding areas are served by an extensive bus network. Taxis are readily available and cheap, but traffic can be heavy during rush hour. Trains and buses connect Thessaloniki to Athens and the rest of Greece. Scooters are alternative way to explore the island.

Driving directions. From Thessaloniki, follow signs for Mount Athos.
Head for the town of Tripiti, about 5 kilometres before Mount Athos.
From there take a ferry to Amoliani island where the hotel is situated.
